About Me
Hi. I'm Amy, the owner of Prim Beauty. It's me you'll meet at your appointment, so I wanted to take the time to introduce myself.
I'm a wife, a mum and a small business owner.
I'm a friendly but professional beauty therapist with over 20 years experience of working within the beauty industry and it's an industry that I have always felt very passionate about.
It's so important to me that I am offering beauty treatments to the highest of standards, in an environment that client's will enjoy visiting and feel comfortable at.
Throughout my career I have specialised on Natural Nail Care which includes time working at The Champagne Nail Bar in Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge London and at an independent Nail Salon in Primrose Hill, London.
During my time in London I was also given the opportunity to work backstage at London Fashion Week, Manicuring nails for the runway models.
It was whilst working in London that my beauty skills developed and I trained in the specialised technique of Threading Hair Removal.
Seeing a gap in the beauty industry in Exeter, I returned to Devon to set up my own Nail & Brow Studio on Gandy Street, which I owned for 8 success years, and it was here that I built up my reputation for my skills in Threading & Nails.
Having my own business had always been an ambition of mine, but since becoming a mum to my daughter in 2016 my career has been even more important to me, wanting to be the best role model to her.
I absolutely love my job!
I love seeing my regular client's who have continued to support me over the years and I love meeting new client's too.
Life is busy, being a working mum and running a business, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am lucky to have a very supportive & loving Husband who understands the importance of Prim Beauty.
To enable me to have some kind of work life balance I run Prim Beauty from my homebased salon in Cranbrook, Devon and I am working really hard to build up my small business within my local community. My business may be homebased, but it is not to be underestimated and it is a professional achievement that I am very proud of.
